Adgine.net interface renovated

Recently implemented changes refer to reporting system. In order to provide comprehensive description of renovations, network operator's* interface will be given as an example.

* Please note that described advertising network is running on standard version of Adgine.net. Networks running on Adgine.net Light utilize limited version of reporting system with certain types of reports disabled.

"Browse" bookmark acquired a new block named "Network Activity". It contains basic information on the following figures in their numerical expression.

  1. Number of visitors
  2. AdViews
  3. Clicks
  4. CTR
  5. Turnover
  6. Revenue

"Network Activity" block also contains "Settings" button, located in the lower right corner. By clicking on it, operator may proceed to following:

  1. Main settings
  2. Manage formats
  3. Define event price
  4. Edit content categories
  5. Generate network registration form

"Period" - dropdown menu, located above "Network Activity" block allows operator to set time period for the report in "Network Activity" block.

"Network status" block displays aggregated information on:

  1. Participants
  2. Advertising campaigns
  3. Creatives
  4. Ad sites
  5. Ad zones

By clicking on one of the above-listed entries operator may proceed to corresponding bookmark.

"Campaigns" bookmark in operators interface is used as an example for describing renovated report mechanism.

4 advertising campaigns were chosen, using "Report parameters" window. Operator may choose type of report from "Group by" dropdown menu, located above report table. Report by campigns is depicted at the screenshot. Availability of certain types of reports depends on version (Adgine.net/Adgine.net Light) network is running.

Renovated interface allows users to define view of report table at their own discretion. Report table of any report type may be customized in "Adjust columns" menu located above report table.

To enlarge, open in new window

"Sort by column" - dropdown menu in which user may choose a column whose data needs assortment. "Sort order menu allows to set order in which column data must be sorted. Number of report results per page is defined in "Page size " menu.

Columns, making up table for certain report type (in this case Campaigns report type) are listed below. Checked columns will be displayed on the report table. Users may add or remove columns from the reports at their own discretion. Content of columns list depends on report type. Changes in view of report table take effect immidiately after they are applied.

Percentages, located within report columns after the numerical expression depict ratio of numerical figure in relation to totals by parameter of report. Example(see screenshot #1) :"Page views" column relflects 58,617 pageviews for campaign 2. This number constitutes 48.9 % of total number for all 4 campigns which is 119,824. Totals for Pageviews parameter are reflected in corresponding column.

If report is generated for bookmarks' main element (in this case campaigns), users may manage elements' settings using contextual menu, located in "Details" column.

Adgine.net & Google AdSense compatibility

In the nearest future Adgine.net development team is planning to implement innovative functionality, ensuring stability of publishers’ income and facilitating an establishment of emerging advertising networks. Implementation of such functionality comes as a result of cooperation with Google AdSense.
Main point: Adgine.net zone code has been made compatible with Google AdSense. In other words, Adgine.net zones placed at publishers web-site may rotate AdSense contextual ads, if unoccpied by advertising networks’ ads at the moment. AdSense rotation starts automatically at unoccupied ad spaces.
New functionality not only solves the problem of unoccupied ad spaces more effectively than previously used fallback campaigns mechanism, it also guarantees stable income level for publishers regardless of infill rate of advertising spaces by ads coming from advertising network . This fact is especially important as it allows gaining publishers loyalty to emerging advertising networks.
However, network operators may limit the use of such functionality or have it deactivated.

Campaign priority mechanism implemented

Campaign priority level determines its' rotation mode and priority over other campaigns/groups of campaigns.Newly added functionality allows network operators to create custom priority levels for advertising campaigns. To add new priority level operator needs to go to "Edit network"->"Rotation settings"-> checkbox "use default campaign priority" (uncheck). After that operator may review default priority groups. This menu contains 3 default priority groups: Commercial campaigns, Non-commercial campaigns, Fallback campaigns. Operators may add their own priority groups to the list. Newly added groups are given the lowest priority level automatically. Highest priority level is "0". If there is a need to rise priority level of certain group, operator may enter group name into textbox which corresponds to higher priority level.

Open in new window to enlarge

Example: In order to rise newly created "Social ads" group priority level to 1, its name has to be entered into textbox instead of "Non-commercial campaigns" group. "Non-commercial campaigns" may be moved to priority level 3, previously occupied by "Social ads" group.

Operators may also use "Hide" option, which allows to remove chosen priority groups from the list. However, it does not mean that hidden groups become inactive - campaigns belonging to them stay active and operate accordingly.
"Main group" option allows to set default priority group for new campaigns added to the network.

Fallback campaign mechanism implemented

In order to assign "fallback" attribute to certain advertising campaign, network operator may do this by going to "Edit campaign"->"Use as fallback" checkbox. Campaigns' creative will be displayed for the whole network at all advertising sites in case their advertising spaces stay unoccupied by commercial/partner ads. Fallback campaigns are automatically assigned the lowest priority level so that they won't get in conflict with commercial ads. Also, "Fallback" attribute automatically abolishes all targeting settings of advertising campaign.

Custom page-logging mechanism implemented

Mechanism is based on opportunity to cancel a system rule, according to which page view is defined as 1 impression of unique URL during visitors' session. If network operator chooses to cancel this rule (Edit network->Rotation settings ->"log all page views as unique URL opened during client session" checkbox), page -logging will occur differently - every unique URL's impression during visitors' client session will count as a page view.
