Adgine.net system requirements

Currently, Adgine.net is available for use through IE 5.5 and higher. In the nearest future Adgine.net is going to be made accessible through other popular browsers. Several adjustments still need to be made in order to reach acceptable level of compatibility with other browsers.
Also, in order to be able to utilize system's services to full extent all operators have to add http://www.adgine.net/ web-site to "Trusted sites" category in "Internet options" menu of the browser. All advertising network participants also need to add their networks' sites or domains through which they log in to interface to "Trusted sites" category. Necessity of such action is caused by standard security requirements of Microsoft browser, which won't allow users to utilize Adgine.net service effectively, unless previously described actions are taken.

Campaign priority mechanism implemented

Campaign priority level determines its' rotation mode and priority over other campaigns/groups of campaigns.Newly added functionality allows network operators to create custom priority levels for advertising campaigns. To add new priority level operator needs to go to "Edit network"->"Rotation settings"-> checkbox "use default campaign priority" (uncheck). After that operator may review default priority groups. This menu contains 3 default priority groups: Commercial campaigns, Non-commercial campaigns, Fallback campaigns. Operators may add their own priority groups to the list. Newly added groups are given the lowest priority level automatically. Highest priority level is "0". If there is a need to rise priority level of certain group, operator may enter group name into textbox which corresponds to higher priority level.

Open in new window to enlarge

Example: In order to rise newly created "Social ads" group priority level to 1, its name has to be entered into textbox instead of "Non-commercial campaigns" group. "Non-commercial campaigns" may be moved to priority level 3, previously occupied by "Social ads" group.

Operators may also use "Hide" option, which allows to remove chosen priority groups from the list. However, it does not mean that hidden groups become inactive - campaigns belonging to them stay active and operate accordingly.
"Main group" option allows to set default priority group for new campaigns added to the network.

Fallback campaign mechanism implemented

In order to assign "fallback" attribute to certain advertising campaign, network operator may do this by going to "Edit campaign"->"Use as fallback" checkbox. Campaigns' creative will be displayed for the whole network at all advertising sites in case their advertising spaces stay unoccupied by commercial/partner ads. Fallback campaigns are automatically assigned the lowest priority level so that they won't get in conflict with commercial ads. Also, "Fallback" attribute automatically abolishes all targeting settings of advertising campaign.

Custom page-logging mechanism implemented

Mechanism is based on opportunity to cancel a system rule, according to which page view is defined as 1 impression of unique URL during visitors' session. If network operator chooses to cancel this rule (Edit network->Rotation settings ->"log all page views as unique URL opened during client session" checkbox), page -logging will occur differently - every unique URL's impression during visitors' client session will count as a page view.
